Development Team Lead

This role is based in Malta, where you will lead a diverse team of developers and QA engineers on exciting, regulated projects.

Our client has helped regulated online casinos and sportsbooks enter new markets, and is now looking for your leadership to build long-term, high-trust teams that can scale with a rapidly evolving industry.

You will own the software delivery lifecycle and work closely with product, design, and QA to ship reliable software, coordinate releases, and provide post-release support.

• Lead and grow a development team of developers and QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, release coordination, and post-release support.
• Set clear priorities and timelines with product and design, ensuring high quality and secure releases.
• Provide strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring—build long-term, high-trust teams.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, offering transparent updates and technical vision.
• Influence architecture and technical standards, while keeping code quality, performance, and security in mind.
• Handle people management tasks such as performance feedback, career development, and recruitment as needed.
• Collaborate with global colleagues to align across markets while working on-site in Malta.
