Head of Marketing
Our client operates a gambling business in Malta and is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead and scale the marketing function. This role shapes the brand, drives customer acquisition, and ensures sustainable growth across markets. You should bring deep knowledge of iGaming, performance marketing, and regulatory frameworks.
The role is based in Malta, onsite with flexibility. This role does not support relocation.
You will lead and own the following areas:
- Marketing Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business goals; build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team; define KPIs and manage performance across all marketing channels.
- Customer Acquisition & Growth: Drive player acquisition through performance marketing channels; optimise conversion funnels and customer journeys; oversee CRM strategy including retention, reactivation, and lifecycle marketing; own and optimise key performance and conversion rates across all acquisition channels.
- Brand & Positioning: Establish and strengthen brand identity across target markets; ensure consistent messaging across all channels and touchpoints; lead creative direction and campaign development.
- Regulatory & Market Expertise: Ensure all marketing activities comply with local regulations and responsible gaming standards; adapt strategies to different regulated markets and cultural nuances; work closely with legal and compliance teams.
- Affiliate & Partnership Management: Develop and manage affiliate programs and strategic partnerships; negotiate commercial agreements and optimise ROI.
- Data & Analytics: Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimise performance; oversee marketing analytics, attribution models, and reporting frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to align strategies; provide market insights to support product development and localisation.
You will meet these requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role within the iGaming industry
- Strong understanding of regulated markets, especially UK and Canada, New Zealand, Chile, Finland, Norway, Andorra, Luxemburg, Malta, and Nigeria
- Expertise in performance marketing, CRM, and affiliate channels
- Demonstrated ability to scale marketing functions in a startup or high-growth environment
- Solid understanding of compliance and responsible gaming practices
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Analytical mindset with experience using marketing data and tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
