Head of Procurement - Collectibles
Our client is building a mystery box platform offering premium rewards. You will lead procurement and sourcing, focusing on luxury watches, their market and culture, and you will build strong dealer relationships. You will own suppliers, purchasing, and costs across the catalogue, with watches as a key focus. This role is remote, with regional time-zone flexibility and reports to the COO and CEO. This role does not support relocation.
Your responsibilities include:
- Own procurement end-to-end, from supplier sourcing and negotiations to purchasing, budgets, and product availability
- Build a trusted network of watch dealers, wholesalers, and distributors, sourcing watches alongside fashion, electronics, and collectibles
- Follow watch culture, collector demand, and market trends; help Product and Marketing select desirable brands and references
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions; compare total landed costs against market benchmarks
- Establish checks for authenticity, condition, provenance, service history, box and papers, and warranty coverage
- Balance stock held in advance with sourcing on demand; work with Operations on insured delivery, returns, and replacements
- Track sourcing times, savings, supplier reliability, and stock aging; build processes and a procurement team as the business grows
Your requirements include:
- 5+ years in procurement, luxury sourcing, or watch trading, with experience owning a purchasing function or leading a team
- Deep knowledge of Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, and other luxury watch brands, their references, and collector appeal
- Established dealer network and understanding of authorized, independent, and grey-market channels, pricing, and liquidity
- Comfort with purchasing data, budgets, cross-border logistics, and the discipline to build clear processes and reporting
- Strong negotiation skills for high-value purchases, fluent English, and a professional manner that builds lasting supplier relationships
Nice to have:
- Experience in luxury e-commerce or marketplaces, with supplier relationships across Europe, the US, the Middle East, or Asia
- Hands-on use of Chrono24, WatchCharts, or dealer pricing tools, and an interest in horology and collector communities
