Quantity Surveyor
An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client for a passionate and detail‑oriented Quantity Surveyor to join the team at the head office in Birkirkara, Malta. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the procurement team, work on tenders and procurement, and ensure the accurate analysis of figures, quantities, and project costs.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with the procurement team on tendering, analysing documents, and preparing project costs.
- Conduct site measurements and take-offs, ensuring accurate quantity and cost reporting.
- Prepare, review, and submit breakdown of rates, maintaining document accuracy and control.
- Analyse subcontractor invoices and applications, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Manage cost/value reconciliations and ensure timely reporting to management.
- Monitor project budgets and prepare detailed progress reports.
- Attend site meetings and verify contractor claims to maintain accountability.
- Ensure deadlines are met, maintaining an eye for detail and accuracy in all documentation.
Who we're looking for
- Essential — Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar QS role with expertise in cost analysis, site measurements, and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Effective communicator with a professional demeanour for liaising with clients and subcontractors.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Have a valid driving licence and own transport.
- Desirable — Experience on residential, commercial, or hotel projects.
- Knowledge of local construction standards and procedures.
- Additional language skills are a bonus.
